How this comparison works
We compare four things a buyer can verify: the positioning each vendor claims for itself, its published coverage claims, its published pricing, and the nature of the output · a feed of notices to triage, or a decision-ready analysis. Where a vendor publishes no price, we say so rather than guess.
The platforms, side by side

Aggregators, intelligence services, and specialists
The field splits into three models, and most disappointment comes from buying one while expecting another. Aggregators (OpenOpps, TendersGo) excel at breadth: hundreds of sources, accessible pricing, NATO present as one source among many · the triage of what actually fits your catalog stays with you. Intelligence services (DCI) sell depth and analyst support with an enterprise sales motion, historically centred on the UK market. General platforms with AI ranking (Stotles) order a broad government feed by relevance, without defence specialisation. Viglia matches opportunities against your catalog, geography, capabilities and priorities across supported sectors and sources. Its output is a justified match score and a source-backed summary with missing information and points to check, not an automatic bid / no-bid decision. The procurement intelligence guide explains the distinction between a notice feed and evidence for your team’s review.
What “NATO coverage” actually means
A “NATO coverage” claim needs to be unpacked before you can compare services. The precise questions to ask any vendor, us included, are: which NATO circuits (NSPA logistics, NCIA communications, NSIP infrastructure through host nations)? Read from the agency's own portal or from secondary republication? At what latency? And what happens when a notice is missed: is coverage a marketing sentence or an enforceable commitment? Our guide to NATO & NSPA tenders maps the circuits so you can test any vendor's answer, and the alerts guide shows what a complete setup looks like.
What Viglia does not promise
Viglia’s commitments cover the supported sources named in the agreed perimeter, not every defense tender or NATO procurement channel. Private catalogs, decisions and strategy remain isolated by client. Proposed targeting changes require human validation, and your team retains the decision to respond. Automated commercial bid / no-bid screening and response drafting are not commercially available.
Buyer and competitor intelligence and estimated renewals are separate modules requiring an explicit grant. A renewal estimate is not a confirmed tender. Use the software selection guide to check those boundaries alongside the source list and sample summaries.
FAQ
What is the best platform for NATO tender monitoring?
Start with the sources, documents and review work your team needs. Compare each vendor’s current published claims and contract rather than assuming a NATO label guarantees agency coverage. Viglia serves companies across sectors within supported source boundaries, with catalog-based matching, justified scores and source-backed summaries. Your team decides whether to respond.
Do these platforms guarantee their NATO coverage?
A public coverage claim is not the same as a contractual commitment. Ask each vendor for the exact included sources, document access, exclusions and handling of missed notices. Viglia’s commitments are bounded by the agreed contractual perimeter; do not infer coverage of every NATO agency or restricted document.
Why does NSPA business not appear on TED?
Because NATO agencies procure outside the EU procurement directives. NSPA publishes its own Future Business Opportunities and runs its own eProcurement portal; nothing forwards those notices to TED. A monitoring setup built only on EU sources is structurally blind to that circuit, whatever tool operates it.
Is this comparison impartial?
It is written by Viglia, and we say so. What we commit to: every claim about another vendor comes from that vendor's own public pages, with the survey date stated, and we correct on notice. We compare verifiable, structural criteria, not impressions.
